He was 14 yrs. old, growing and complained of severe crowding of teeth, and protruded upper jaw.
The clinical examination presented with a Cl II malocclusion with full complement of teeth. Oral hygiene was fairly okay.
Extraorally, he presented with a typical convex profile with protruded upper jaw.
- He was treated by extracting both upper 1st premolar teeth only.
- The extraction space was utilized to correct the crowding and proclination.
- This is how he is after the treatment.
He was 10 yrs. when he presented to us.
He had a proclination of upper front teeth and inability to close the lips. He used to complain of upper teeth jutting forward while smiling.
On examination he presented with C II malocclusion with upper proclination and mandibular retrognathism, and convex profile.
Since he was a growing patient, growth modulation was under taken and a 2 stage treatment followed.
In the 1st stage a twin block appliance was delivered which corrected the skeletal discrepancy
Later on fixed orthodontics was carried out in tandem with Fixed Appliance, simultaneously correcting dental and skeletal malrelationship.
At the end of the treatment he presented with a very pleasing facial appearance, and a straight profile, indicating correction of the small lower jaw.
He was 12 yrs when he first came to us.
He was suffering from cleft palate which meant there was abnormality of roof of the mouth. There was also missing lateral incisors in the region of bilateral cleft
Because of this, his upper jaw was to fully collapsed and contracted. The lower teeth were in front of the upper teeth and he had a mid face deficiency
His treatment included expanding his upper jaw and correction of the contracted arches.
Along with that, fixed orthodontics was carried out to correct his teeth.
Once that was accomplished, a prosthesis was fabricated to correct his speech and nasal twang, and also to enhance his over all appearance and present a pleasing smile.
He was 10 yrs when he came to us. His mother complained of rolling down of the lower lip, large lower jaw and small upper jaw. The parents also complained of aged smile.
On clinical examination he presented with Class III malocclusion with lower teeth in front of upper teeth.
While smiling his upper teeth were not seen He had a concave profile.
He was treated in two stages.
In 1st stage an appliance, FR III, was given to correct the jaw relationship even though all his milk teeth had not fallen off
Once the jaw relationship was corrected, he was treated with fixed orthodontics,
which was the second stage to correct the teeth. At the end of the treatment, he showed harmonious jaw relationship with settled teeth and pleasing smile.
He was 13 yrs when he came to us.
He presented with totally blocked out upper canines (impacted). He had an appearance of collapsed mid face.
He was treated with fixed therapy, and his canines were surgically exposed and brought in alignment.
Now his treatment is almost over and the canines which where impacted in the jaws, have been efficiently brought down. He also presents with a good dental relation and a pleasing profile.
She was 17 yrs. when she first came to us.
She complained that her front teeth were very large with fullness of lips. She also complained of bad smile, and mouth remaining open while sleeping.
On clinical examination, she had a badly decayed lower right first molar and an over retained upper left deciduous canine, because of which that permanent canine was pushed out
In normal cases of this type, all four first premolars would have been extracted. But in her case, the decayed molar was extracted.
Treatment time 18 months, Patient extremely co-operative.
At the end of the treatment, she presented an excellent profile and a very good facial appearance.
A girl 13 yrs 2 months old complained of bad smile, uneven teeth and difficulty in brushing with retruded upper teeth.
On examination, the profile presented with prominent nose and chin.
Case of severe crowding: Midlines did not coincide. The canines were completely blocked out. Head gear with fixed appliance.
Treatment without extraction of teeth.

Clinical examination showed that she had Cl I malocclusion with very severe upper and lower crowding with proclined teeth.
As she was non growing, she had to undergo extraction of all the four first premolars.
She was treated with fixed appliance for a period of 18 months.
All extraction spaces were closed.
She presented with a pleasing smile and appearance which also boosted her self confidence.
